Basic Website Requirements
There are four basic requirements for getting and keeping your business up and running on the Internet:

1. Domain Name
The domain name is the address name you will have on the Internet such as http://www.yourdomainname.com or yourdomainname.com. When choosing your domain name, you will want to keep it short and simple to insure that customers will be able to easily find you on the web. Good domain names usually relate to the business name or products that are being offered by your company.
A domain name is a possession owned by you or your company and is the address that customers refer to when locating your business on the web. Once you are set up with hosting account and a domain name, you or your webmaster will be able to configure the domain name to point to your website at your hosting company.
There are many services on the Internet where you can register domain names. However, we do offer a domain register service that we suggest if you will be hosting a website on our server and/or hiring us to design a website to eliminate problems. If you have already registered a domain through another company or would still like to register it somewhere else, you will need the domain information on hand to utilize or webhosting/web design.

2. Website Hosting
Hosting is provided by a company who has servers located around the world, with space on the server for rent. When you purchase a hosting plan (usually annually) you receive a certain amount of allocated data in what is referred to as a “slot” on the server. While a multitude of companies offer cheap prices on web hosting, features such as mySQL, applet support, email or FTP are sometimes compromised and in order to guarantee complete compatibility we suggest web hosting with our company. However, if you already have a hosting plan, we will work with your current hosting company to develop a compatible website.

3. Website Development
A website developer/Designer is the person who creates your website and publishes it the internet. He or she is a software developer who is specifically engaged in the development of World Wide Web applications, or applications that are run over the HTTP protocol using an HTTP server, a web server, and an HTTP client, a web browser.
We define web development as the entire process from website design to web development. We work with many different clients in different scenarios of development. In most cases we provide all website design and development services from concept to completion, however under certain circumstances, we only provide administrative or webmaster services..

4. Webmaster
In terms of a completed small business site, the webmaster is the technical person responsible for administration and maintenance of the website. You can perform this duty yourself or hire a professional. Depending on the scope of work, your webmaster might be responsible for any or all of the following:
• coordination and renewal of domain name and hosting services
• making sure that the hosting service is always running properly
• ensuring website functions are always operating properly
• control of email accounts including SPAM and virus filtering systems
• monitoring site traffic and correcting errors
• collection and analysis of statistics
• creating and updating website pages or databases
• backing-up website files and databases
• replying to general user feedback
• monitoring of e-commerce operations
While the webmaster is not always the individual/Company who created the website, it is suggested that an individual familiar with the content within the website is designated as the webmaster. This job title requires an extensive background in the web development field. We currently offer “webmaster plans” to fit any business/personal needs starting at $150.00/month per website depending on the complexity and tasks that require updating.
